“This was truly such an amazing experience for my dog Winston and myself. He was in the 6 week board and train program and came out of it a completely new dog. “Darian has been essential in helping to train US (not just the pup) so that we can train Cleo, to be all that she is capable of! She is a young active hunting breed and we needed help! Before we began I had reached a point where I was reducing Cleo's walks due to leash pulling and reactivity to everything -leaves, rabbits, people. You name it, if she saw it she would practically pull me off my feet. I was frusterated and worried I took on more dog than I could handle. After one session I have to say our lives changed for the better because we started being able to do more with her instantly, this was so good for her and us. “No single adjective can fully describe our incredible experience with Darian and Bark Brigade. But I'll try.... Phenomenal. Amazing. Thankful. And I could truly go on. I’ll admit it was with some trepidation we gave Darian a call as we did not have very good experiences with other trainers. In fact, I’ll be blunt - the other trainers were complete failures and did not understand the individuality nor needs of our pup, Strider. But after a couple phone calls and a one-on-one meeting, we knew we had come to the right place. Yes, it’s scary to leave your dog with a complete stranger, but after the first day of training, Strider came out to us with tail wagging and head held high. And the next day when we dropped him off again, Strider was super excited, tail wagging and didn’t even look back. The Board and Train, combined with day training, has strengthened the bond with our dog and given us so much freedom, confidence and joy. While Strider didn’t have any serious behavioural issue, Darian tamed the puppy and now adolescent energy where his life (and ours) are in controlled harmony - both on and off the leash. It’s not like we have a different dog, but now a dog that is more confident and enriches our lives more and more every day. We continue to use Bark Brigade for routine training and have found these sessions so helpful for both us and Strider to stay on top of our training game!
